In 2008 Awilo Longomba released a new album, Super-Man, which was another big success. Awilo continued to make a name for himself in the United States / Canada while on tour with Nabtry International Cultural Dancers (an African cultural dance or dance group) founded by an African dance group founded in 2007 by Grace Haukwa. The Super-Man tour was a huge success in 2008 and 2009. Due to the popularity and historical victories at the International Reggae Awards and World Music Awards with more than 120 countries voting, Awilo’s new album, Super-Man , won the 2009 Soukous Best Performer Award.

Nabtry CEO and founder Grace Haukwa who represents Awilo in the USA was present to receive the award on behalf of Awilo at the International Reggae and World Music Awards ceremony.
