A sikinde music ensemble is the DDC Mlimani Park Orchestra. Traditional Tanzanian dances served as an inspiration for the sikinde music (ngoma). It is one of the most well-known dance music groups in Tanzania.

On August 1, 1978, Mlimani Park Orchestra was established. Later, when the Dar es Salaam Development Corporation took control of the band’s management, the name was changed to DDC Mlimani Park Orchestra (DDC).
