On October 3, 1991, Mbosso was born and reared in Kibiti, a small town in Tanzania. His father is Yusufu Mbwana Kilungi, and his mother is Hadija Salom Kikaali.

Mbosso relaunched his solo music career in 2018 after signing with WCB Wasafi, a record label started by Diamond Platnumz, and released songs like “Maajabu,” “Picha Yake,” “Tamu,” and “Tamba.”

Mbosso became one of the four Tanzanian musicians with more than a million subscribers in 2020 after reaching a million YouTube subscribers. The YouTube Golden Plaque was given to him.
