Diamond Platnumz is a Tanzanian musician, singer, songwriter, and dancer. He was born on October 2, 1989, in Tandale, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is one of the most successful and influential musicians in Africa, known for his unique fusion of traditional Tanzanian and modern Western music styles.
Diamond Platnumz started his music career in 2009 with his debut single “Nenda Kamwambie.” He gained widespread recognition in 2010 with the release of his hit single “Kamwambie.” Since then, he has released several popular songs such as “Marry You,” “Number One,” “Baba Lao,” “Jeje,” and “Waah!”.
He has won numerous awards and accolades, including multiple MTV Africa Music Awards, AFRIMMA awards, and BET Awards. He is also the founder and CEO of WCB Wasafi, a record label that has signed several successful Tanzanian artists.
