Joe Mafela was a South African actor, television presenter, and singer. He was born in Soweto, South Africa in 1942 and began his career as a stage actor in the 1960s. Mafela became well-known in South Africa for his roles in various television shows, including “Sgudi ‘Snaysi,” “Soweto Green,” and “Soul Buddyz.”
He also appeared in several films, including “The Gods Must Be Crazy” and “Cry, the Beloved Country.” Mafela was known for his versatility as an actor and for his contributions to the South African entertainment industry. He died in a car accident in Johannesburg in 2017 at the age of 75.
